2024 Judson Agriculture Exposition

January 18th - January 20th

The Judson Agriculture Exposition promotes responsibility and leadership skills through the educational work of the Judson FFA Chapter. This is accomplished in by incorporating all phases of agriculture. The exposition is quickly approaching, and students are busy raising, building and creating projects to present at this year's show. In order to honor the students for their accomplishments, we reward them with money donated by generous donors. The search is always on for patrons interested in contributing to insure the continued success of the students.

These students have shown responsibility and proven themselves efficient at acquiring skills such as responsibility, hard work, team work, and dedication. Texas high schools are filled with young people ready to graduate and enter the workforce. Many of them will choose to utilize the skills they have learned by attending a university or trade school. The Judson Agriculture Exposition is proud of our students and look for any way to help them as they are prepare for life.

Dedicated to Bill, Lana and Jeff Koch

The Koch Family has long been involved with Judson FFA. Jeff was heavily involved in the program as a student in various capacities. He showed heifers, steers and capons, but ultimately found his niche in the lamb barn. Jeff showed in TJLA and would travel to over 30 prospect lamb shows all over the state. He also had success in making the auction at every major livestock show in the state. That was just one side of his involvement, as he served as a Chapter Officer where he was Vice President for 1 year and President for 2 years. He also served as District Sentinel, Jeff was  involved on Leadership Development teams including Junior and Senior Chapter Conducting and Senior Farm Skills. He also participated in Career Development Events including Livestock Judging, Land Judging and Ag Mechanics. He was instrumental in recruiting new members into the program throughout his years in high school and put the initial concept and drawing of the new facility on paper.

During Jeff’s time in the Judson FFA program, his parents Bill and Lana, were heavily involved in the Alumni Association, with Bill serving as President for three years. Both Bill and Lana were actively involved in fundraising for the Chapter Show and establishing fundraising events for the chapter. Bill played an integral part in getting the school board and district to buy into new barns and Ag facilities for the chapter. Both Bill and Lana constantly promoted the value of the FFA program to anyone and everyone who resided within the district. Bill also would assist the Agriscience teachers in animal selections for many of the students.

After Jeff finished high school, Bill and Lana remained active in supporting the program in various ways. They sponsored buckles every year for the Chapter Show, as well as supporting the chapter in fundraising events. Jeff has stayed involved by providing a scholarship to outstanding FFA students for several years.
